Building is Hamish’s passion. Working with clients and designers to bring ideas to life gives him a great sense of fulfillment.
Hamish comes from humble beginnings, born and raised in Dargaville where a strong work ethic was instilled in him from a young age. He now lives and works in Mangawhai and over the past few years has become increasingly involved in the up market residential sector.
Ben is a key member of our Younger Builders team, renowned for his reliability and efficient task completion.
When he's not crafting quality homes, Ben is a devoted family man, enjoying hunting, fishing, and diving. His love for family and nature not only defines him personally but also reflects in his diligent work.
Ben's a builder who is as steadfast in his professional life as he is in his personal pursuits, ensuring your home is built with integrity and passion.
Caidan is one of Younger Builders' promising talents, recently shining in the New Zealand Certified Builders' Apprentice of the Year competition.
Raised on a dairy farm in Tomarata, a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach is brought to every project. Caidan has a deep appreciation for Mangawhai's beauty, particularly its beaches, where he loves to unwind with a fishing rod after a day's work. Beyond building, he is passionate about staying active, whether it's kickboxing, hitting the gym for weight training, or navigating rough terrains in his 4x4.
Caidan's dedication to his craft and love for the outdoors make him a dynamic and committed member of our team, ready to tackle any challenge and contribute to creating your dream home.
I got into building in 2021 after helping a mate put up his garage — quit my job two months later and haven’t looked back.
I’ve always enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, and landscaping, so the building trade felt like a natural fit.
My favourite part is seeing a project come together and knowing the effort you put in is right there in front of you at the end of the day.
Born and bred in West Auckland, I followed in my dad’s footsteps into construction.
I started in a prenail factory, spent a bit of time in cabinetmaking, then moved into prenail detailing for 10 years before realising the office life wasn’t for me. I’ve now been building for over a decade and love the hands-on side — problem-solving, creating, and seeing plans come to life.
Outside of work, I’m with my wife and kids on our lifestyle block or sneaking in a round of golf. What I value most about Younger Builders is the crew — the quality, camaraderie, and pride we bring to every job.
I’ve lived in Mangawhai for 17 years and recently started my apprenticeship. Before that, I worked on and off labouring for my dad and his company.
I love being outdoors — rugby, fishing, DJing, and spending time with my mates, family, and girlfriend. What I enjoy about building is the challenge, the learning, and the crew environment.

With 37 years in the building industry, I’ve seen just about everything. I take a solution-driven approach to every job, helping clients enjoy a smooth process from start to finish.
My goal is always to make each home the best it can be while guiding clients through every step. I’m also passionate about training the next generation of builders, helping them think critically and work to a high standard.
